Black Fish is a poetic psychological drama that blends storytelling, movement, and surreal imagery. During a interview, a young woman and a border officer become trapped in a tense and increasingly strange encounter. Inspired by classical Persian storytelling traditions, the show moves between reality and dream to explore what people carry with them when leaving home behind. Developed in Saskatoon by a multidisciplinary team of immigrant and international artists, Black Fish is an intimate and emotionally charged new work about identity, belonging, and survival.
